Eid

For Iranians, the new year is the time to lay down the Sofreh Haft Seen (cloth of seven seens), which means that seven things that begin with the Persian letter seen must be laid down.

Each dish has a symbolic meaning, ranging from rebirth, wealth and prosperity to fertility.

I therefore placed the Sofreh Haft Seen in the appearingly endless desert so as to symbolise the new years new hope for people, with the feeling of limitless possiblities for what the year may bring.
